Chestnut Homestead

Goal: To scan multiple structures at the same time
Tech: DJI Mavic Pro, Agisoft Metashape
Conditions: Midday, overcast/rainy, light wind
Outcome: Using a combination of nadir, angle and point of interest scanning techniques I was successful in creating a good model of the homestead with it's multiple structures and highlights

Goal: To demonstrate the effectiveness of a drone site scan of public infrastructure for marketing or asset monitoring purposes.
Tech: DJI Mavic Pro, Drone Deploy
Conditions: Late morning, sunny, moderate wind
Outcome: Whilst it was a warm day and upon takeoff the drone was swarmed by 100 pink and grey galahs we managed to site scan the Kulin pool and water slide before any patrons arrived.
Note: Permission from the Pool Manager was granted for the drone scan

Conditions: Midday, overcast, moderate wind
Comments: I spotted an interesting subject matter for a drone inspection scan next to the beach we frequent.

The ends of each carriage has a small framed area, this was the biggest challenge for the software

The chute at the base of each carriage did not model well, next time I'll take more nadir images

The graffiti images rendered extremely well using Drone Deploy processing

Goal: Demonstrate effectiveness of drone scans for stockpile volume calculations and site asset monitoring.
Tech: DJI Phantom 3 4K, Drone Deploy
Conditions: Midday, sunny, moderate wind
Outcome: Even using manual flying (no auto waypoints) it wasn't difficult to produce an accurate, detailed map of the construction site and then interrogate for meaningful insights.

A drone structure scan of some industrial infrastructure using a Phantom 3 4K and photogrammetry processing with Drone Deploy.

Goal: Drone scan grain receival depot in preparation to conduct larger scan on regional / port depot
Tech: DJI Phantom 3 4K, Drone Deploy
Conditions: Midday, sunny, moderate wind
Outcome: 3x batteries and 60min of flight time has produced a detailed scan with a 1cm/pixel resolution

Goal: To assess the effectiveness of drone scanning a complex framed structure
Tech: DJI Phantom 3 4K, Drone Deploy
Conditions: Midday, cloudy, low wind
Outcome: Whilst the walls and site have been processed well, the frame roof was not completely rendered.
